Snactivists – you may have heard that we’ve launched home compostable packaging! It’s as good as gone after 180 days in the home composter – which is similar to an orange peel 🍊🎉 Snact is now very proud to be reducing both food waste and packaging waste. Guardian Sustainable Business put us on the front and centre of their article about “a new generation of manufacturers and scientists working to tackle the global plastic waste crisis head on” 🙌
Many of you have been asking where you can get your hands on the new packaging – and we have some great news about that! You can get our new compostable packs online from Ocado, as well as from a number of London locations: health food shop Applejacks in Stratford, cafe and delicatessen The World’s Larder in Wanstead, coffee shop Haggerston Espresso Room and climbing centre Castle Climbing in Hackney. They will start popping up very soon in all of our retail outlets (check the handy map!) And if you’re looking for a bit of a bargain, look no further than As Nature Intended (with six shops all over London) – they’ve got fruit jerky on 20% off until 22 November!
ETA: New outlets added to the list! Find the compostable packs in The Grocery (Shoreditch), Thornton’s Budgens (Belsize Park), Nature’s Healing Garden (St John’s Wood), Olive Tree (Kilburn), and Apples & Bees (Battersea) 😄
And now for something completely different… have you tried fruit jerky on pizza yet? 😜 Not the cheesy kind – a dessert pizza that’s vegan, gluten free, high in protein and antioxidants – without a doubt, the healthiest pizza in the world! Nadia’s Healthy Kitchen developed this awesome recipe, cutting up fruit jerky into cute little triangles and topping her dessert pizza with them. And as it should be with pizza, you can enjoy it at any time of the day: breakfast, lunch, dessert, supper – or a snack in between meals! 🍎🍰🍕
